1. Encounter Labs
1.1 Summary
1.1.1 Business Need
Defined users:
MRP doctors, residents, nurses, team assistants and other medical staff with the credentials and rights to access OSCAR web-site. General user is given administrative rights.
Super User/Administrator with full rights:
Add/Edit/Delete
Reactivate account
Access to admin part of the OSCAR
Main purpose of Encounter Lab Display is:
To identify a lab result as abnormal
To separate data fields
To add text notes to lab reports
To associate lab requisition with lab report
To handle partial lab results
To create tickler from lab report
1.1.2. Description
Encounter Lab Display use cases are designed to view patients lab results and to identify which lab results within a lab report are abnormal. Lab result and normative range values should be recorded as separate data fields. Text notes (acknowledge or comment or use annotation notes) can be added to Lab report. Lab requisition should be associated with lab report and partial lab results should be handled (different versions will collapse into a single report but previous versions will be viewable).
1.1.3. Pre-action requirements/state:
OSCAR McMaster Test Version 12.1, system, and DB are up, configured and working as expected.
1.1.4. Post-action state:
OSCAR McMaster Test Version 12.1 is running and behaving as expected.
OSCAR McMaster Test Version 12.1 has all functionality prior to the change (outside of removing functionality intentionally)
