1. Inbox
1.1 Summary
1.1.1 Business Need
Defined users:
- MRP doctors, residents, nurses, team assistants and other medical staff with the credentials and rights to access OSCAR web-site. General user is given administrative rights.
Main purpose of Inbox is:
- To indicate a new and abnormal Lab reports
- To sort Lab reports
- To view Lab section under eChart
- To associate Labs and documents with patients
- To re-display acknowledged and filed documents and Labs
- To manually enter Labs
1.1.2. Description
Inbox use cases are designed to visually indicate a new lab report (via asterisks) and abnormal reports (via red text). Scanned documents and labs should be able to be associated with patients and Lab reports and can be sorted to show abnormal Labs at the top of the list. Acknowledged and Filed documents/ Labs should be able to be re-displayed. Provider is able to manually enter Labs and submit to Oscar. Encounter page should display Labs documents under Lab Results section.
1.1.3. Pre-action requirements/state:
OSCAR McMaster Test Version 12.1, system, and DB are up, configured and working as expected.
1.1.4. Post-action state:
- OSCAR McMaster Test Version 12.1 is running and behaving as expected.
- OSCAR McMaster Test Version 12.1 has all functionality prior to the change (outside of removing functionality intentionally)
