Select patient

Access Patient Search Results drop down (list) from Search

Open encounter

Select Summary tab to open eChart or patient summary from the current record

 

eChart or patient summary screen is opened for the selected patient

Open admin panel

From the landing page locate Admin panel

Add a provider

  1. Select ‘User management’ in the admin panel
  2. Select ‘Add Provider’
  3. Fill in required fields
  1.  New Provider added

Create new role by clicking on ‘Add role’ in Admin panel  

1. User requiring new role must exist.

2. Role must be defined.

Security Reports

Through admin panel access to Security reports is granted for those with admin privilege

1.Open admin panel

2. Click on security log

Security Log

1. Select a Provider. In this case it would the name of the logged in admin account

2. Select ‘Admin’ content type

3. Input today's date  for both ‘Start Date’ & ‘End Date’

4. Run report

1. Provider log report should show the following actions: new provider added,  new role, eChart opened

 

2. Ensure the time of action is today's date with the appropriate sequence of when the above activities were done.
