Test Case : Inbox - HL7 Lab Upload

Description:

Using the 'HL7 Lab Upload' function in the OSCAR Inbox (HL7, MDS, CML, GDML and CLS).  This test case covers the scenario when the HL7 uploaded lab is claimed (picked up by a care provider) and matched (associated to a demographic record)

Actors/Related actors:

  1. Business Clerks, Records Team, Nurse Practitioners and Physicians

Pre-action requirements/state:

  1. OSCAR is configured and working as expected
  2. OSCAR user is configured with rights to the inbox
  3. You are logged into OSCAR as this user

Post-action state:

  1. OSCAR Inbox is working as expected

Steps to perform the test case:

  1. Click the "Inbox" link (a)
  2. Click the "HL7 Lab Upload" (b)
  3. Click the "Browse" button to locate a HL7 lab file to upload (lab that contains doctor and patient that also exists in OSCAR)
  4. Select the appropriate Lab Type from the dropdown menu
  5. Click the "Upload the Lab" button (c) (d) (e) (f) (g)

Failure Steps:

  1. failure result: The HL7 Lab inbox display is not working as expected.  The links that should be available to the lab are not present or not working

Success Steps:

  1. expected result: Inbox functionality is working as expected
    1. The window titled "Lab Reports" is displayed containing all of the labs/documents in the inbox for the selected care provider
    2. The window titled "Lab Upload Utility" is displayed, providing options for uploading the HL7 lab
    3. The lab is uploaded successfully (a popup message will state that)
    4. This lab will show up in the "claimed" folder for the inbox.  The "claimed" folder for the inbox is entered by clicking the Inbox link within OSCAR
    5. There will be an indicator beside the "ALL" menu on the left hand side for this lab.  The total number of labs will be represented by an integer beside "ALL".  If there is only lab, it will look like "ALL (1)".  Unclaimed and Claimed labs both fall under "ALL(#)"
    6. There will be an entry in the left hand frame for this lab with the link displaying the demographics name.  The total number of labs for the demographic will be represented by an integer beside their name.  If the patient has one lab, it will look like "LastName, FirstName (1)"
    7. There will be a record for the lab in the main inbox window.  The column labelled "Patients name" will be populated with the patient name that was in the HL7 message
