Actors/Related actors:

  1. Business Clerks, Records Team, Nurse Practitioners and Physicians

Pre-action requirements/state:

  1. OSCAR is configured and working as expected
  2. OSCAR user is configured with rights to the inbox
  3. OSCAR user is configured with rights to the patients eChart
  4. You are logged into OSCAR as this user
  5. Labs or Documents exist in OSCAR for this users Inbox

Post-action state:

  1. OSCAR Inbox is working as expected

Steps to perform the test case:

  1. Click the "Inbox" link
  2. Click "Doc Upload" to upload a document to the inbox
  3. Click "Add Files" and Browse for the local file(s)
  4. Select "Pending Docs" from the "Destination" dropdown menu
  5. Select the provider you have access to in the "Send to Provider" dropdown menu
  6. Click the "Start Upload" button (a)
  7. In the main inbox window, click the "HL7 Lab Upload" link
  8. Browse for the local HL7 Lab file and select it for upload
  9. In the "Lab Type" dropdown select the type of lab you are uploading
  10. Click the "Upload" button (b)
  11. Match the document and the lab to a demographic in the system
  12. Open up the demographic Master Record and click "Export This Demographic" (c)
  13. Select either (CMS Spec 4.0 or E2E format)
  14. Click the "Check All" button - (select all options export categories when exporting the demographic)
  15. Click "Export" to save the file locally (d)
  16. Examine the xml file inside the zip archive and validate it matches the 4.0/4.0 OMD specification (4.0 specification Appendix B, 4.1 specification Appendix F)

 

ON ANOTHER OSCAR SYSTEM (different instance than the OSCAR system which did the export)

  1. Click the "Administration" link
  2. Click "Data Management" to expand the menu
  3. Click on "Import New Demographic"
  4. Click "Browse" and Browse for the local file to import
  5. Keep the option selected "Match Providers in database by first and last names (Recommended)"
  6. Click "Import (CMS spec 4.0) button

Failure Steps:

  1. failure result: The labs and or documents are not opened/displayed for signing and saving (editing)

Success Steps:

  1. expected result: Inbox functionality is working as expected
    1. the document has been uploaded to the inbox for the selected provider
    2. the lab has been uploaded to the inbox for the selected provider
    3. The eChart for the selected demographic contains the records (document and labs) that have been matched to their record.  The document and lab are visible and accessible from the demographic eChart
