Description:

Using the 'Create Lab' function in the OSCAR Inbox

Actors/Related actors:

  1. Business Clerks, Records Team, Nurse Practitioners and Physicians

Pre-action requirements/state:

  1. OSCAR and MyOSCAR (where applicable) are both configured and working as expected

Post-action state:

  1. OSCAR Inbox is working as expected

Steps to perform the test case:

  1. Login to OSCAR
  2. Click the "Inbox" link
  3. Click the "Create Lab" link
  4. Select a lab type from the "Lab Name" dropdown
  5. Enter in the Accession #
  6. Select the "Lab Req" time from the popup calendar
  7. Enter in the billing #
  8. Enter in the Last name and the First name for billing
  9. Enter in the patient Last name
  10. Enter in the patient First name
  11. Select the DOB from the calendar
  12. Enter in the HIN number
  13. Select the SEX of the demographic
  14. Enter in the phone number

Success Steps:

  1. expected result: Inbox 'Create Lab' functionality is working as expected.  You have successfully created a lab for a demographic in OSCAR
