Summary:

Functionality of Reports Testing

OntarioMD requires your EMR offering to have a client module that uses SSH2 protocol to automatically check for available reports and download them from an sFTP server no more than every 30 minutes and no less frequent than every 24 hours. Regardless of the sFTP client module used, you are required to maintain continuous and automatic polling the sFTP server for possible new reports and and deleting the reports once they have been verified to be successfully downloaded, decrypted and consumed by your EMR.  Support and correspondence for Conformance Testing will be provided via e-mail, where you are asked to provide results and submit questions via e-mail.

Purpose:

Before you commence testing in this section, you will need to pre-load specific patient and provider data into your EMR offering. A summary of the pre-load data referenced in the files is provided in the appendix of this document. Passing Conformance Testing is also a pre-requisite to continuing with this section. Note that functional testing detailed in this section is meant only as a guide to assist with preparing for your TVD and does not represent or cover all functional requirements.  Support and testing in this area will be for development purposes only; functionality will be officially tested by the Validation Team on your Technical Validation Day (TVD).

Support for this phase of testing will be available via e-mail, by telephone or WebEx as necessitated. The Validation Team will offer guidance in interpreting the functional requirements and respond to any questions or issues you may have. Coding support, however, will not be provided. The below functionality checklist is provided as a guideline to prepare for your TVD. Report files will be located inside the “Production” subfolder to be downloaded, decrypted and used to assess if your EMR offering is able to meet functionality requirements. Please refer to the table below which identifies which files are specific for each test – some files may serve multiple purposes and relate to more than one test. The Validation Team will also assess your EMR’s readiness and capability to satisfy each of the test cases in the table below to authorize you to continue with testing on your TVD.
