- Click the "Inbox" link
- Click "Doc Upload" to upload a document to the inbox
- Click "Add Files" and Browse for the local file(s)
- Select "Pending Docs" from the "Destination" dropdown menu
- Select the provider you have access to in the "Send to Provider" dropdown menu
- Click the "Start Upload" button (a)
- In the main inbox window, click the "HL7 Lab Upload" link
- Browse for the local HL7 Lab file and select it for upload
- In the "Lab Type" dropdown select the type of lab you are uploading
- Click the "Upload" button (b)
- Match the document and the lab to a demographic in the system
- Open up the demographic Master Record and click "Export This Demographic" (c)
- Select either (CMS Spec 4.0 or E2E format)
- Click the "Check All" button - (select all options export categories when exporting the demographic)
- Click "Export" to save the file locally (c)
- Examine the xml file inside the zip archive and validate it matches the 4.0/4.1 OMD specification (4.0 specification Appendix B, 4.1 specification Appendix F) (d)

- failure result: The labs and or documents are not opened/displayed for signing and saving (editing)

- The eChart for the selected demographic contains the records (document and labs) that have been matched to their record. The document and lab are visible and accessible from the demographic eChartexport file contains all the selected data and matches 4.0/4.1 OMD specification (4.0 specification Appendix B, 4.1 specification Appendix F)
