Change Description (incl. Benefits)
MCEDT Interface not well integrated with OSCAR billing.
User should be able to submit a files generated in the "Generate OHIP File" automatically on a schedule dictated by the client. Currently, the file must be downloaded from the Generate OHIP File screen, and then uploaded through the MCEDT Interface screen.
User should be able to import files to OSCAR from the MCEDT Interface automatically on a schedule dictated by the client.. Currently, the file must be downloaded from the MCEDT Interface and then uploaded to OSCAR through the Upload MOH files.
Suggested Workflow for MC EDT- Billing file transfer server job:
1- Generated OHIP files, are saved to the path defined by properties variable "ONEDT_OUTBOX".
2- The billing transfer job is a script install as a server job/servcie that looks for files "ONEDT_OUTBOX" with editable/defaulted claim type and blank description are selected and transferred to GoSecure web site using the client's credentials.
3- Transferred files will be moved to a 'completed' folder and update the OSCAR Status for 'sent to OHIP'.
1- The billing transfer job will access the client GoSecure web site and transfer any files, not already transfered, to the "ONEDT_INBOX" folder ready for OSCAR interaction.
The primary benefit is to circumvent the busy periods of the day, where uploading and downloading takes up to 10-15 minutes when you can get on. A second benefit is it would improve the billing staff's workload by removing the multi-step processes. The script would use the OSCAR EMR generated libraries for web service calls.
